SOMIC India Private Limited (formerly known as Somic ZF Components Pvt. Ltd.) is a major automotive component manufacturer specializing in steering and suspension systems. The company was initially setup in India in 1995 in joint collaboration with Sona Steering Systems and Somic Ishikawa Inc, Japan.

In 1998, Lemforder Metallwaren AG, Germany got an equity stake in the company and company was known as Sona Somic Lemforder Components Limited (SSLCL).

In 2012, after exit of Sona, ZF Friedrichshafen AG replaced Lemforder Metallwaren AG and the company was further renamed Somic ZF Components Pvt. Ltd.

In July 2025, the company transitioned from a 12-year joint venture with ZF Friedrichshafen AG, Germany to a fully owned subsidiary of the Japanese firm Somic Ishikawa Inc.

Somic India Pvt. Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of ball joints for steering systems, stabilizer link rod assemblies, suspension ball joints & suspension arm assemblies in the country. Its products are used in passenger cars, jeeps and light commercial vehicles. Somic India Pvt. Ltd. has installed world-class technology at four locations in India [Gurugram (Haryana), Kharkhoda (Haryana), Naviyani (Gujarat) and Sriperumbudar (Tamil Nadu)] fully equipped with CNC machines, welding machines, induction hardening, burnishing, hydraulic press upto 100T, MIG welding machines, molding machines, assembly shop and cold forging upto 630T. The company is using combination of latest technology along with a well-planned and executed production system supported by the Japanese partner to manufacture products of excellent quality, for the customers currently as well as to target other major entrants in automotive industry.
